Neil Sheppard was born in the UK in 1956 and migrated to Australia with his parents in 1964, growing up in Kalgoorlie.
He began painting in the late 1990s without any formal training, developing his own style, which features vibrant colours and he says is a shade removed from realism.
Neil lives on the Bay of Shoals on Kangaroo Island and now is a full-time artist.
