Katie Wyatt, who joined Artworx in 2009, paints large format impressionist portraits, landscapes & still life on canvas.
The sculptural effects created by the textured finish of her unique pieces explore form and line, which allows shapes to evolve from the thick and generous application of impasto and paint. Passionate about painting, she bases her works on her own experiences, memories, photographs and recollections.
Each new painting is a piece of her soul reflecting a painting process that she says is exhilarating, searching, draining and evolving.
Her goddess paintings have their roots in Katie’s fascination the beautiful women of Greek mythology.
