Jon Carl burst onto the South Australian arts scene in 2002 with a handful of quirky paintings he exhibited at the Brighton Food and Wine Festival.
When he sold them all he decided to spend rather more time painting than he had previously, enjoying his art purely as a hobby until then.
Jon paints in oils, drawing in his own experiences and his imagination to create the wonderfully colourful characters he so finely and skillfully places on canvas.
An emerging artist with a great future ahead of him, he lives in Adelaide with his wife and son.
