Victor Harbor’s John Hamilton is an award-winning artist/teacher who has always been deeply moved by the landscape.
As a youth he would spend hours bushwalking in the Blue Mountains of NSW, observing the play or light, the movement of trees and bushes in the wind and the majesty of rock formations in the region.
Reflecting this, his work exhibits a vibrancy through its bold colour and brushwork as he strives to capture the power and movement of light, and the interaction of people with the landscape.
